Currently in a capital raising campaign, the Berkeley Facility of the Alzheimer's Services of the East Bay will be extensively remodeled to included a new garden room, an expanded Nurses Station, a new covered participant drop-off area and a complete building seismic upgrade.
The Alzheimer's Services of the East Bay is a not-for-profit daycare center for adults in various stages of dementia. Additionally they offer support for family members and outreach programs for individuals in early stages of disease. The facility will be 5,600 square feet. Additionally, the project is a renovation to an original William Wurster building, a noted Bay Area Architect from the early-mid 20th Century.
